Saundra D. Alessi
My journey into consciousness healing has been quite the adventure. It began when my children were young and I started reading labels on food and using essential oils, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. There were times when it seemed that one of the kids would be "off", like she was on the verge of coming down with something. I noticed if I just let that child stay home from school for a day, it often saved us all from a doctor's appointment or having to miss work or school for several days. At that point in my life, I just called it "mother's intuition."
The next stage of the adventure was becoming a trial attorney. Always Inspired by the character of Atticus Finch in the novel, To Kill a Mocking Bird, I eventually went to work in the law office of Dennis R. Whalen, a man who reminded me of Atticus, always seeking to help the underdog. I enjoyed the work and especially liked the fact that he allowed my children to come to the office after school. When the firm became involved in the litigation of a large environmental class action case, I worked a lot of overtime with the children often helping in the office with mass mailings. When the case was finally settled, Mr. Whalen offered to send me to law school if I was willing to stay on and work at the firm. A life long dream, I completed law school with three children and a full time job. My experience as an attorney taught me how to listen, really listen, to what was going on with people whose lives were way out of balance. Every case had its twist and I had a unique ability to anticipate the twist and intuit the best way to make it work on my client's behalf. At one point I was told that what I did was "the Zen practice of law". I had no idea at the time what that meant, but liked the sound of it. There was nothing like practicing law to open my eyes to the ineffectiveness of some of our cultural assumptions.
Then Hurricane Katrina struck and leveled my beloved home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Separated from family, friends, places and almost all things familiar, I continued my work as an indigent defender for two more years. During this period and afterwards I found myself experiencing sadness, grief, and anxiety along with difficulty sleeping.
It was time for changes, so I made the move from the 30th parallel to the 48th. Shortly after that move I was introduced to BodyTalk. After three sessions, I noticed that the sadness and anxiety disappeared and I was sleeping better. It was subtle, but I was impressed by the effectiveness of using consciousness to shift the body into doing its own healing. I wanted to know more so I trained and became a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, a member of the International BodyTalk Association, and BodyTalk Montana. I opened the BodyTalk Healing Center in downtown Whitefish, Montana.
The more I learned and experienced, the more I wanted to learn so I could help others. I trained in all of the modalities listed on this site and my practice expanded. Body Mind Song was born.
I have developed a knack for listening to my clients' bodies and "tapping" into their innate ability to heal themselves. Sometimes this involves work with archetypes and matrix energies, desensitizing a trauma, and/or forgiveness. Sometimes homework is required. But the upshot of it all is I have helped clients eliminate chronic back pain, reduce chronic hip pain and knee pain, reduce sensitivity to substances that cause allergic reactions, reduce stress, improve sleep quality, eliminate bladder pain, reduce pain and swelling associated with sprains and bruising, eliminate migraine headaches, and increase generalized well being. Consciousness healing is subtle but powerful healing tool that can effect shifts physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
A session always begins with asking permission, permission from the client and permission from the client's body. With great respect for the body's ability to heal itself, it is the body's priorities and needs that dictate the modality/modalities employed, using applied kinesiology and consciousness. These sessions may include the use of essential oils, and tuning forks for stress reduction or to support chakra opening and balancing. When an imbalance is caused by a subconscious energy pushing into consciousness, we may work with Theta Healing, archetypes, or matrix energies. When a chronic illness has an identity component, a client may find themselves Exploring Forgiveness with me.
I want to be a part of healing the world by changing consciousness, one life at a time.
I am available for lectures and workshops on Exploring Forgivenss.
